Full Time in Person, 2nd Shift (4pm-12am) - Training on 1st
Shift Report To:
Plant Manager We are currently seeking an experienced Shipping and Receiving Supervisor to oversee and help coordinate the daily shipping, receiving, warehouse and finishing operations within the plant. This role is responsible for supporting efficient plant operations while ensuring compliance with company policies, quality standards, and safety procedures. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator and hands-on leader with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position works closely with plant leadership, supervisors, office personnel, and production teams to help ensure production schedules are met efficiently and safely. Responsibilities include supervising and coordinating daily departmental operations, supporting employee development and performance management, assisting with production planning and workflow coordination, and maintaining strong safety and quality standards throughout the facility. Requirements - Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience preferred, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Experience in a union environment preferred
  • Good math and organizational skills
  • Mechanical aptitude preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage and motivate employees across multiple shifts
  • Ability to work collaboratively with plant personnel, office staff, vendors, and union representatives
  • Proficiency in basic administrative and reporting functions
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate shipping, receiving, warehouse, and finishing operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with company standards.
  • Direct daily workflow and departmental activities to meet production schedules, quality expectations, and cost objectives.
  • Train, develop, and support employees to maintain an effective and qualified workforce.
  • Monitor departmental performance and operational metrics, identify issues, and implement corrective actions when needed.
  • Promote and support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality, productivity, and operational efficiency.
  • Assist in resolving customer complaints and operational issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Serve as a liaison between management and plant employees to maintain strong communication and positive employee relations.
  • Administer company policies and procedures in accordance with company guidelines and union agreements.
  • Communicate scheduling updates, delays, and operational changes with supervisors, managers, sales staff, and office personnel.
  • Enforce all plant safety procedures and maintain a strong focus on workplace safety, housekeeping, and compliance.
  • Recommend equipment, machinery, tooling, or staffing improvements to support operational goals.
  • Coordinate with maintenance, production planning, and other plant support teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain production, attendance, and other operational and administrative duties as needed.
  • Support additional plant operations and projects as assigned by management. Physical & Working Conditions
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb stairs, and move throughout the plant for extended periods of time.
  • Must be comfortable working around production equipment, moving machinery, heights, and varying noise levels.
  • Ability to safely access and inspect production equipment including sheeters, rewinders, and related machinery.
  • Must consistently enforce and follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Pay:
$30.00 - $32.00 per hour
