Full Job Description Purpose of Position:
The purpose of this role is to work with fellow coworkers to assist them in training and growing with the company; as well as working with new hires to complete their requirements for the Warehouse Level 1 as well as training Level 1 to become a Level 2. This role requires learning all positions within the entire Warehouse. Suggest process improvements and actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives. .
Position Summary:
Maintains performance of warehouse operations within a specified zone including, adherence to the highest level of safety and housekeeping, commitment to employee technical training, focus on order processing accuracy, coordination of order and material flow, achievement of productivity goals and proactive involvement in identification of employee issues and communicating them in a timely manner. Must effectively communicate expectations with assigned team members and coach for success. Works hands on to push order flow and to remove bottlenecks.
Essential job functions and responsibilities:
Participate in safety rules and set "safety first" tone for self and team Train employees to follow standard work / SOP's Ensure workplace is always organized and clean (clean as you go) Communicate openly and respectfully with all Warehouse Associates to increase engagement Participate in the Interview process for new co-workers and provide input into co-worker performance evaluations Ensure tools, materials and equipment used in assigned zone is ready for the shift Supports communication process for shift start and daily/weekly team meetings Address basic performance issues and escalates to management when coaching doesn't produce change in behavior Must comply with and promote compliance with HR policy including (attendance, general work rules, respect in the workplace and respect for workplace diversity) Ability to work in all positions within the entire Warehouse.

Proven to have high and positive energy and the ability to drive for results and to set a high pace for self and peers in an engaging manner. Adaptable to changing priorities and warehouse demands. Dependable presence with the ability to work independently and assist others.
Key skills:
Must be able to communicate clearly in English both verbally and in writing. Proficient use of warehouse systems, product labeling, build pallets & basic warehouse tools. Operational knowledge of material handling equipment and warehouse safety standards. Drive to support and train peers in warehouse processes.
Experience/Education:
High School diploma or GED Must have basic computer skills. Must have at least 2-3 years of experience working in a high volume/variation Distribution or Manufacturing environment. Experience in environments focused on continuous improvement and performance metrics.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, push, pull, reach, and climb a ladder for most of the shift to perform job duties accurately. Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, and must be able to perform computer work from a standing position.
