Full Job Description Job Objective:
Position is responsible for insuring operational excellence for distribution center in fastener group. This player-coach assistant manager works in concert with the warehouse manager to operate distribution center including: personnel, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, inventory management, VMI, delivery, kitting/packaging, fleet and equipment maintenance, and facility housekeeping.
Responsibilities:
Ensure quality, accuracy and timely delivery of products. This includes managing all equipment, materials, supplies and distribution. Maintain inventory and supply records, logistics, and perform receiving, picking, packing, and shipping in accordance with
ISO 9001
2015 business processes. Manage inventory cycle counting, rotation and quality of stock and equipment. Work in a proactive, hands-on, fast-paced environment. Understanding operating procedures of equipment and machinery is preferred. Operating with a "safety first" credo is vital. Knowledge of computer applications and software used for inventory control and tracking, plus knowledge of standard computer applications. Responsible for quality assurance and level one parts inspections for all products as they enter and exit the order process. Serves as back-up sales team by managing walk in customers and will call pick-ups. Visits area customers and makes deliveries and writes VMI orders where necessary. Maintains a rigorous cleaning regimen in the DC to insure a smooth running and safe work environment. Closely monitors shipping, receiving to ensure all products reach their intended destination as scheduled. Other duties as assigned Internal /

Maintain contact with all internal and external customers to ensure high levels of satisfaction and productivity. Demonstrate ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees. Cross-trains on other assignments to ensure adequate coverage Builds trust, values others, communicates effectively, drives execution, fosters innovation, focuses on the supplier and customer, collaborates with others, solves problems creatively and demonstrates high integrity. Maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet company core values. Proactively establishes and maintains effective working team relationships with all support areas.
Job Specifications:
College undergraduate degree or pertinent work experience 4-6 years of warehouse experience Ability to learn how to read and interpret blueprints and understand fastener dimensional standards. Comfortable working in a team environment and successfully complete cross training. Works with a high-degree of urgency and is deadline/timeline driven. Must have high degree of confidence and professionalism. Must be strong communicator, both verbally and in writing. Must have experience in working with computers and be able to generate reports within this environment to monitor DC activity. Ability to work in ambiguity and take direction in an ever-changing environment.
