Job Description

The Hopeline's mission is is to intervene in the cycle of poverty by meeting the basic needs of vulnerable families and helping empower those living in the Bronx to become more self-sufficient and upwardly mobile. The primary services the Hopeline currently offers is a Diaper and Food Pantry program. Position Overview The Hopeline is seeking a seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Distribution Coordinator to assist the Program Manager and the rest of the Hopeline team in the day to day functions of the Hopeline's programs. This is a part time position with a Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday schedule. In this vital role we are looking for an efficient and engaging team member who will create a cooperative relationship with fellow staff members and clients. They need to be strategic and adaptable to the changing needs of the center and able to identify issues and proactively troubleshoot and implement solutions. This position provides the opportunity to contribute to process improvements and leverage data analysis skills to optimize performance. Duties include but are not limited to: Ensure the weekly set up and preparation of the food pantry to serve 400-500 families a week Direct the logistics of receiving, organizing, storage and inventory tracking accuracy. Set up for food distribution and ensuring supplies needed are in place. Weekly Inventory counts for the food pantry Ensure weekly inventory for the diaper program in prepared for distribution Conduct (biweekly) Inventory counts for the diaper program and submit supply request for diapers as needed Ensures that diapers are wrapped and organized for distribution Manage the Hopeline Donations which includes Receiving, organizing, tracking, and distributes clothing and other goods. Informing management when we a donation drive or a pause of donations is needed Providing good customer service, working with clients when distributing goods Keeping inventory organized, lifting and moving boxes and inventory storage Requirements Must have ability to stand, walk, and navigate tight spaces for long periods as this is a high-mobility role requiring constant movement across the facility. Must be bilingual English/Spanish Have Customer Service Experience Strong Organizations and Communication skills Some Knowledge of tracking
