Yard Supervisor

Nicolock , is the Leading Manufacturer of Paving Stones, Retaining Walls, and other Concrete Products.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Yard Supervisor to oversee daily operations in our outdoor yard area. This role is critical to ensuring the efficient, safe, and organized loading of commercial trucks using forklifts, managing inventory, and maintaining a clean and orderly yard environment. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and experience in logistics or materials handling.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise Yard Operations:

Oversee all yard activities including the loading and unloading of commercial trucks with paving stone products using forklifts.

Team Management:

Lead, schedule, and manage a team of yard loaders and forklift operators to ensure productivity, safety, and adherence to company standards.

Inventory Oversight:

Monitor and manage yard inventory levels, ensuring accurate counts and proper storage of materials. Coordinate with inventory control and production teams.

Yard Organization & Cleanliness:

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized yard environment. Implement and enforce housekeeping standards and safety protocols.

Efficiency & Process Improvement:

Identify and implement opportunities to improve yard workflow, reduce loading times, and enhance overall operational efficiency.

Safety Compliance:

Ensure all yard operations comply with company safety policies and OSHA regulations. Conduct regular safety checks and training.

Equipment Oversight:

Monitor the condition of forklifts and other yard equipment. Coordinate maintenance and repairs as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or logistics training is a plus.
• 3+ years of experience in a yard, warehouse, or logistics environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Forklift certification and experience operating heavy equipment.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Proficient in inventory management systems and basic computer skills.

Salary Range- 22.00-25.00 per hour depending on experience
