ABOUT THE ROLE
- Warehouse Lead We are seeking a skilled and energetic Warehouse Lead to support daily warehouse and logistics operations in our Penn Yan, NY facility. This role is responsible for coordinating warehouse activities, supporting inventory accuracy, ensuring equipment readiness, and maintaining safe and efficient material flow across a 24/7 operation. The Warehouse Lead works closely with Supervisors, Production, and Maintenance to ensure accurate pallet tracking, proper storage practices, and timely movement of goods throughout the facility.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Provide day‑to‑day leadership to warehouse associates to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations Ensure adherence to all safety, food safety, quality, and regulatory standards Perform work in accordance with environmental, health, and safety policies Complete required training and certifications, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), as applicable Oversee daily start‑up and shut‑down of warehouse equipment and processes Inspect equipment to ensure it is clean and operational Work with operators and maintenance to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues Maintain clear communication with Maintenance and support repair activities as needed Use PRISM or other systems to track pallets, inventory, and production movement Support standard changeovers and line efficiencies by coordinating material flow Plan ahead by communicating with Supervisors on production and warehouse scheduling Ensure accurate product flow from processing through staging and loading Provide break relief to associates as required Assist with training new team members Review, complete, and submit warehouse and production paperwork Disassemble, clean, sanitize, and reassemble equipment using appropriate tools and chemicals Document completed work per supervisor direction Perform other duties as assigned
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
High school diploma or GED required Knowledge of warehouse operations, processes, and equipment Strong communication and problem‑solving skills Ability to read and understand instructions, paperwork, and basic correspondence Ability to perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and use units of measure Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, and crawling Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced team environment Flexibility to work weekends and overtime in a 24/7 operation
THE SCHEDULE & SETTING
Full‑time role on nights Must be available for weekends and overtime as required Work is performed in a warehouse environment with routine lifting, pallet handling, and equipment operation Exposure to varying temperatures, production areas, and material‑handling equipment
PAY & BENEFITS
Pay Range (Base Pay): $23 per hour
Other Compensation:
May include shift premiums and overtime pay depending on schedule
