Opportunity Summary:
The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for coordinating Coordinates the execution of inventory control, including product flow, shrink control, and damage control. Works in conjunction with Warehouse Supervisors and inbound coordinators to ensure integrity throughout the life cycle of products at the DC. Works with the inventory department to help establish inventory levels and product slotting, as well as rotation. Makes recommendations to improve processes including slow moving items and items that are problematic to either operations or inventory control. How you will make contributions that matter: Coordinates and performs inventory reconciliation and assists in establishing inventory levels. Confirms adherence to good inventory practices on the floor. Monitors inventory damage, rotation, and slotting. Makes recommendations to reduce product damage and the potential for either miss-picking or shorting product due to poor storage locations. Makes recommendations for product slotting and works with operations to improve picking efficiency based on product placement vs. throughput numbers. Participates with Assured Supply/Inventory team in the fulfillment of its charter and the implementation of our business plan to reduce on hand days' supply. Responsible for maintaining the appropriate safety stocks while meeting days on hand objectives is contained in the operating plan to include the avoidance of "out of stock "product attributed to the DC. Demonstrates adaptability to affect safety stocks, aging inventory and inventory turns while interacting with the logistics of the delivery process. Tracks supplier-related problems through a follow-up program to include visits and documented information. Coordinates with all departments on product promotions and cross-functional responsibilities. Controls assurance of product quality from vendor to restaurants supplied by the distribution center, inclusive of appropriate responses to product complaints using QIP and DQMP standards. Other duties may be assigned.
What You'll Bring:
Education
- Bachelor's Degree, preferred. Experience
- 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience with 1 to 2 years related experience and/or training in Engineered Labor Management or Warehouse Management. Other Required Skills or Abilities
- Technical skills (including Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point), engineered labor standards and systems, voice selection technology (Lucas), JD Edwards, managerial/leadership skills, safety management, process management, inventory control, analyzing information, equipment and facility maintenance.
