Job Description

At H&P, our people are our strength. The Yard Foreman is primarily responsible for supervising yard personnel for the purpose of maintaining the drilling yard and drilling capital equipment, as well as receiving, tracking, completing electronic field transfers, and distributing inventory.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The following items represent the majority of the duties performed by the position, but is not meant to be all inclusive nor to prevent other duties from being assigned when necessary. Regular and reliable attendance is essential and required in performance of job. Supervises work of yard personnel; determines work priorities and schedules work assignments; interviews and recommends candidates; evaluates, orients, counsels, and trains subordinate personnel and recommends associated personal action. (25%) Directs and assists crews working in the yard and maintains the overall upkeep and condition of the yard. (10%) Organizes and maintains the drilling yard. (30%) Receives, tracks, and issues parts from the yard inventory; completes electronic field transfers through RAMS. (15%) Maintains yard capital equipment inventory, including drill pipe inventory. (15%) Manages the logistics and delivery of inventory parts and supplies to remote rig locations and selects and schedules the best delivery method for delivering parts and supplies to operating rigs; arranges third party hotshot transportation as needed. ABILITIES
Minimum education, experience, technical, and communication skill levels, and licenses/certificates normally required to perform the duties of this position. Thorough knowledge of drilling rig equipment, maintenance practices, and Rig Asset Management System (RAMS) Thorough knowledge of inventory and fixed asset concepts, practices and procedures Basic knowledge of FCPA. Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively Excellent PC-based software application skills: Excel, Word, etc. Ability to plan and organize multiple processes Ability to travel as needed (valid driver's license) Ability to operate a forklift Thank you for your interest in joining our team!
