Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Lead to oversee maintenance and mechanical operations in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role will lead a team, ensure equipment reliability, and train staff on best practices. The ideal candidate is hands-on, safety-focused, and experienced in troubleshooting and team leadership. Key Responsibilities Lead daily activities of the mechanical team and support warehouse operations Perform and oversee maintenance/repairs on conveyors, forklifts, and equipment Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues Develop and execute preventative maintenance plans to reduce downtime Train and mentor team members on equipment use, safety, and procedures Ensure compliance with all safety and company standards Maintain accurate logs, reports, and maintenance records Partner with leadership to improve processes and efficiency Qualifications Experience in a mechanical lead or technician role in warehouse/industrial setting Strong knowledge of warehouse equipment and systems Leadership experience with ability to train and develop staff Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically active environment Comfortable standing, bending, and working in varying conditions Highly skilled individual Job Requirements - Mechanical Lead (Warehouse) Proven experience in a mechanical lead, maintenance technician, or similar role within a warehouse, distribution, or industrial environment Strong knowledge of mechanical systems , including conveyors, forklifts, pallet jacks, and automated equipment Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems efficiently Prior leadership or supervisory experience with a track record of training and mentoring employees Ability to read and interpret schematics, manuals, and technical documents Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with operations and management Highly organized with strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities Knowledge of workplace safety standards and OSHA guidelines Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment and handle multiple priorities
