- Full-time Job Summary The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator is responsible for managing the receipt, storage, packaging and shipment of materials, components, and finished goods in a manufacturing environment.
This role ensures accurate inventory transactions, timely deliveries, compliance with company procedures, and effective coordination between production, warehouse, logistics, and customer service teams. Key Responsibilities Shipping Prepare and process outbound shipments, including packaging, labeling, and shipping documentation. Coordinate shipments with carriers, freight companies, and customers. Schedule pickups and deliveries to meet production and customer requirements. Verify shipping accuracy, including quantities, part numbers, and customer specifications. Generate bills of lading, packing slips, customs documents, and other required paperwork. Track shipments and resolve transportation issues, delays, or discrepancies. Receiving Receive incoming materials, supplies, and equipment. Inspect shipments for damage, accuracy, and compliance with purchase orders. Record received goods in the ERP or inventory management system. Coordinate with purchasing and quality departments to resolve receiving discrepancies. Ensure materials are properly labeled, stored, and distributed to production areas. Inventory Control Maintain accurate inventory records and perform inventory transactions. Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory audits. Investigate and resolve inventory variances. Monitor stock levels and communicate shortages or overages to management. Ensure inventory accuracy within warehouse and production locations. Warehouse Operations Maintain organized and safe warehouse and receiving areas. Ensure compliance with company safety standards and OSHA requirements. Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks as required. Coordination & Communication Work closely with production, purchasing, customer service, and quality teams. Communicate shipping schedules, inventory issues, and delivery status updates. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to warehouse and logistics operations. Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits and reporting purposes. QualificationsRequired High school diploma or GED. 2+ years of shipping, receiving, warehouse, or logistics experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience using ERP, MRP, or warehouse management systems. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
