Job Description

This position is on 2nd shift, 3:00pm-11:30pm.
JOB FUNCTION
Receives, researches, and answers customer inquiries and requests regarding sales, orders, and shipments Coordinates deliveries and makes arrangements for outgoing shipments on a day-to-day basis
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Makes arrangements for outgoing deliveries
  • Receives customers orders and makes arrangements to meet their requirements
  • Supervises hourly associates including coaching and counseling when necessary
  • Sends ASN's and verifies shipments on a daily basis
  • Supports the development of WIP Packing with Shipping Logistics Clerk
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • May perform duties of other associates in the department in their absence
  • May act as customer service contact
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Prefer two years' supervisory experience. Sales and automotive background a plus. Familiarity with shipping and trucking companies a plus.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate a high level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to establish credibility and be decisive
  • Good verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Computer skills required
