Job Description

Description Our Shipping and Manufacturing teams are committed to delivering operational excellence through safe, efficient, and accurate distribution practices. The Shipping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all daily shipping department operations to ensure the safe, efficient, and accurate movement of finished goods to customers and distribution partners. This role manages shipping personnel, load planning, freight scheduling, inventory flow, and documentation processes while ensuring on-time deliveries, cost efficiency, and compliance with company standards. The Shipping Supervisor provides leadership, operational oversight, and strategic coordination to optimize outbound logistics, maintain FIFO practices, and support customer satisfaction.

Day Shift:
Schedule based on operational demands; flexibility required to support shipping deadlines and business needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and manage all shipping department operations, including load planning, truck scheduling, freight coordination, and shipment execution. Supervise shipping associates, forklift operators, and logistics personnel to ensure productivity, accountability, and safe work practices. Develop and oversee daily truckload plans to maximize freight efficiency, optimize trailer utilization, and meet shipping deadlines. Coordinate with production, warehouse, customer service, and transportation providers to align shipping schedules with order fulfillment priorities. Ensure all outgoing shipments are accurate, properly documented, and compliant with customer, carrier, and regulatory requirements. Maintain and enforce FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory practices to support product freshness, inventory control, and operational accuracy. Monitor shipping performance metrics including on-time delivery, freight costs, order accuracy, detention time, and department productivity. Train, coach, and develop shipping team members while driving process improvements to increase capacity, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
QUALIFICATIONS
Strong working knowledge of shipping, logistics, freight coordination, and warehouse operations. Proven leadership experience in shipping, warehouse, or distribution environments. Experience with truckload planning, freight scheduling, and transportation coordination. Strong understanding of inventory management practices, including FIFO. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in fast-paced environments. Proficiency with shipping documentation, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office programs.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Manufacturing and shipping environment requiring standing, walking, dock oversight, forklift area exposure, and operational mobility throughout the facility. May require schedule flexibility, overtime, and active management of fast-paced shipping deadlines and transportation schedules.
POSITION INFORMATION
This position pays $ 2 8-$30 per hour depending on experience
