Second Shift Supervisor

We are seeking a second shift supervisor for our steel service center. This position will cover the evening warehouse shift with a regular schedule of Monday - Friday 2:30pm - 11:00pm. Mandatory overtime hours, when necessary, may go as late as 3:00am. Pay is based on experience and is negotiable. Candidates must have at least 5 years of supervisory experience working in a heavy industrial environment, preferably working with steel products. Forklift and overhead crane experience are required.

Responsibilities include:

Overseeing receiving and dispatching procedures for shipments Assigning workloads and daily tasks to warehouse staff Communicating with customers to answer shipping and receiving questions and troubleshoot problems Monitoring inventory and shipment transactions for accuracy Ensuring inventory and storage areas are clean and maintained Monitoring warehouse staff to ensure safety procedures are being followed Performing administrative tasks including managing staff attendance and discipline, ensuring all company policies and procedures are being followed, as well as distributing daily production reports and other reporting to upper management as necessary.
