Job Description

Position Purpose:
To safely perform all required daily duties in the day-to-day operations of the Springdale Terminal under the guidance of the employee's immediate supervisor and experienced co-workers.Terminal Duties/Responsibilities:
Safe transport product receiving operations, loading rack and tank farm operations. Terminal maintenance Administrative/office duties Bill of lading Follow established state and federal safety, health, and environmental policies. Plan and organize assigned jobs. Complete work assignments with supervision Initiate work orders as needed. Ensure all tools and equipment are kept in proper working condition. Maintain communications. Attend meetings as required. Complete job cards daily Maintain radio communication as required. Prepare stockroom withdrawals as required. assignment progress to supervisor. Request permits as required. Document spill clean-up as required. Assist the Terminal Manager in all planning and executing of programs of preventative maintenance on facility equipment. The operator is expected to perform all the routine maintenance and repairs. Review turnover book at start of shift to determine current requirements for pumping product and plant maintenance. Remove and install process filters. Clean tank vents Maintain pressure relief valves. Tank gauging is required for inventory control with conversion calculated to 60°F. Tank gauge volumes are transcribed onto applicable documents and calculate inventory loss/gain. Enter daily billing into computer. Run quality control tests to include flash point, penetration, and viscosity. Maintain hourly checks for breeches of safety, environmental, and operating standards. Product transfer operations between storage & sales tanks, to/from barges. To record barge transfer details on appropriate forms and release documents. To function as dockside United States Coast Guard person in charge during marine cargo offloading. To include hourly checks on piping, valves, and tanks. To include proper transport via facility pumps, piping and series of valves set in the appropriate orientation per company procedure and maintain pumping log. Hourly inspections of boiler operations for a safe and efficient manner Prepare and test boiler feed water and set steam additives based on results and blow down once per shift. Operation of storage tank hot oil heaters Winterize and clean equipment Instruct truck drivers in proper loading/offloading procedures. Respond to emergency situations Performs other duties/responsibilities as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities:
Basic computer literacy Microsoft Word & Excel experience preferred. Basic mechanical/troubleshooting skills Knowledge & usage of tools such as: hand, power, pneumatic, electric, & landscaping Ability to safely operate or learn to safely operate terminal equipment such as: light plant, bobcat, chain saw, farm tractor, sandblaster, boiler, hot & oil heater Ability to follow & adhere to all United Refining Company policies & procedures including OSHA safety rules and regulations. Effective communication, reading, and listening skills. Fire extinguisher operation. Basic piping, valve, and transfer operations Basic math Hazardous materials handlingRequired Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent Basic mechanical knowledge At least two years of work-related experience preferred. A valid state issued driver's licenseWork Environment:
Outdoors work is required in all weather conditions. FR uniforms, PPE, & outerwear provided by the company Inside warehouse & office On elevated structures With and around hazardous materials & atmospheres In confined spaces, in trenches & elevated tempatures Shift work & overtime In and around elevated noise areasPhysical Requirements:
Ability to lift 50 lbs. Non-fear of heights Must be able to position self on or near ground to complete work & maintenance tasks. Pass an annual physical fitness examination. Able to stand, walk, stoop, bend, balance, kneel, reach, carry, push, pull, traverse steps, lift, climb, crouch, squat, and perform hand tasks.Attendance:
