1st Shift Warehouse Lead

Tempstar Staffing has an immediate 1st shift production & warehouse position available for a client of ours in the West York, PA area.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Management Manage and oversee all production activities to ensure efficient processes and maximum productivity. Coordinate assembly, laminating, pleating, and other production processes according to the Production Plan. Monitor production activities to ensure alignment with the Production Plan, making necessary adjustments to stay on schedule. Communicate with the Plant Manager and/or Planner if operations are running behind or ahead of schedule to maximize efficiency. Ensure the quality of goods and maintain system updates regarding work progress (Netsuite). Perform additional work as required to meet production goals. Production Staff Supervision Monitor and control production staff attendance, ensuring full coverage and accountability. Supervise assembly and machine production staff and oversee daily activities through team leads. Encourage and support staff morale by recognizing achievements and providing constructive feedback. Administer training for staff in coordination with the Support & Maintenance Lead and ensure staff work according to the training provided. Keep staff records updated. Perform daily inspections (MBWA - Management by Walkabout) of all production lines and equipment, recording observations and taking necessary actions. Coordinate and request maintenance for equipment, ensuring minimal downtime. Inventory and Logistics Ensure all production positions have components from the warehouse on time, at the correct location, and as needed. Maintain factory cleanliness and orderliness, ensuring compliance with 6S standards (Sweep, Shine, Signage, Standardize, Sustain, Safety) and health and safety regulations. Work towards minimizing work in progress (WIP) and achieving a One-Piece Flow system where applicable.

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required. Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office. Strong time management and delegation skills. Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Effective problem-solving abilities. Commitment to after-hours study to expand knowledge, particularly in Lean Management and 6S principles. Pay is $23.00/hr to start and the position will be temp-to-hire. Apply today for immediate consideration.
