Shipping/Powder Coat Supervisor TBI Services Group - 5.0 Memphis, TN Job Details Full-time $27 - $30 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Customer communication Outdoor work Team leadership Production safety compliance Forklift Production planning Organizational skills Leading team collaboration initiatives Managing manufacturing teams Materials handling Task assignment Manufacturing company experience Time management Full Job Description Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Shipping & Powder Coat Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our shipping and powder coating departments. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe, productive, and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate daily activities of shipping and powder coat personnel. Assign and prioritize daily work assignments to ensure production schedules and shipping deadlines are met. Monitor workflow, productivity, and quality standards within both departments. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized shipping yard and work areas at all times. Ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures. Stage and account for material before and after coating. Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, verifying accuracy and timely delivery. Manage material flow between departments to support production requirements. Train, coach, and develop employees to improve performance and maintain accountability. Communicate effectively with management, production teams, drivers, and customers as needed. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, shipping, powder coating, or a related industrial environment. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Proven ability to lead teams and effectively delegate work assignments. Experience using Tekla PowerFab. Knowledge of shipping, logistics, and material handling practices. Commitment to workplace safety and housekeeping standards. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Forklift experience preferred.
Requirements:
Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and occasional weekends as business needs require. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions when managing shipping yard operations. Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and performing physical job duties as needed. Be assertive in direction.
Pay:
