The Supervisor of Warehouse Operations oversees regional supply chain, warehouse, and logistics activities to ensure material readiness and timely fulfillment of project commitments. This role manages inventory, transportation, vendor coordination, and material planning while partnering with Operations, Purchasing, and Logistics teams to improve efficiency, optimize material movement, and support business objectives across the designated region. The position also leads supply chain personnel, monitors performance metrics, and requires 25-50% travel within the region and corporate locations.SUMMARY JOB DUTIES
Safety/Human Performance:
Lead and promote a strong safety culture by overseeing safety compliance, training, audits, field observations, coaching, and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring alignment with organizational safety standards and metrics.Demand Execution, Fulfillment, and Logistics:
Analyze material demand trends and execute demand plans to ensure timely and cost-efficient material availability through coordination with procurement, warehouses, suppliers, transportation, and logistics partners.Inventory & Warehouse Management:
Oversee inventory optimization, warehouse operations, capacity planning, and material readiness to ensure critical project support while implementing effective inventory control strategies and minimizing supply chain risks.Project Management:
Coordinate with project managers and stakeholders to forecast material requirements, mitigate supply chain disruptions, track material consumption, and support successful execution of cross-functional projects.Budget and Cost Prudency:
Manage operational budgets and departmental expenses, ensuring cost control, financial oversight, and adherence to approved budget parameters across labor, contracts, and purchasing activities.Customer Service:
Collaborate proactively with stakeholders and leadership teams to ensure material readiness, cost efficiency, transportation coordination, and seamless support for critical operational and project needs.Incident Response:
Lead storm restoration and emergency outage material operations by ensuring rapid logistics coordination, material readiness, vendor support, and efficient response execution across affected regions.Partnership:
Build strong cross-functional partnerships with internal departments, procurement teams, vendors, and customers to support mission-critical supply chain, logistics, and material fulfillment operations.People Leadership:
Recruit, develop, mentor, and coach Supply Chain personnel while driving talent management, continuous improvement, employee development, and regional team performance.Culture:
Maintain high ethical standards, integrity, transparency, and compliance while supporting organizational goals, local spend objectives, and alignment with the company's mission and visionMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum education required of the position Supply Chain Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Engineering, or related discipline or equivalent experience. Minimum experience required of the position 5 years of experience in supply chain, including materials/warehousing, purchasing, contracts or project management. A valid driver's license is required for this position. In some instances, a road test, medical card, and class D license may be required. Some prior leadership experience (preferably in supply chain or related discipline) preferred Desired knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position Advanced computer skills with a solid knowledge and understanding of Entergy's Corporate and T&D Maximo, and MS Toolkit applications, especially MS ACCESS and Maximo table structure and query ability is preferred. Ability to navigate and pull data from PowerBI Outstanding communication, conflict management and change management skills. Ability to make timely decisions that utilize available material and resources in a cost effective manner. Able to provide effective leadership in a team environment. Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics. Strong understanding of ERP Systems and the financial transactions that effect warehouse operations. Preferred experience with Maximo. Some understanding of transmission/distribution materials and their application in the field. Demonstrated ability to supervise and lead a staff of non-exempt and/or bargaining unit employees. Familiar with OSHA regulations and reporting requirements. Some understanding of DOT regulations and the effects they have on logistics. Demonstrated ability to energize workforce in regards to safety programs. Some knowledge of bargaining unit contracts and the ability to interpret and follow the rules established by the contract. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Strong knowledge of interfacing departments' processes and priorities.
