Monday to Friday, Day Shift Job Summary Luxpel LLC is looking for a full-time DOT Compliance & Fleet Maintenance Coordinator to join our trucking operations team. This position is responsible for two major areas: Trucking Compliance - maintaining
DOT/FMCSA
compliance records, preparing for audits, and ensuring driver and vehicle files are complete and up to date. Equipment Maintenance Coordination - checking trucks, trailers, reefers, tankers, and other equipment daily to ensure they meet DOT safety requirements and are ready for operation. We have a scheduled DOT Safety Audit on July 22, 2026 , and this role will be directly involved in preparing the required documents and helping the company maintain ongoing compliance after the audit. This is not a desk-only position. The coordinator must be comfortable inspecting equipment in the yard and communicating with drivers, mechanics, warehouse staff, and management. Key ResponsibilitiesDOT / Trucking Compliance Maintain and organize driver qualification files. Track CDL copies, endorsements, medical certificates, MVRs, annual reviews, and driver applications. Maintain previous employer verification records and other driver qualification documents. Help manage drug and alcohol testing records, including pre-employment, random, and post-accident testing documentation. Review and organize Hours of Service / ELD records and supporting documents. Maintain vehicle and trailer lists, annual inspection records, maintenance records, and repair documentation. Maintain accident register and related accident records when applicable. Help prepare and organize documents for DOT audits, safety audits, and compliance reviews. Monitor compliance deadlines and follow up on missing or expired documents. Assist management in improving internal compliance procedures. Equipment Maintenance Coordination Perform or coordinate daily morning checks of trucks, trailers, reefers, tankers, and other equipment. Check for DOT-related issues such as lights, tires, brakes, air leaks, fluid leaks, hoses, landing gear, registration, annual inspection stickers, and general safety concerns. Identify equipment that is not safe or DOT-compliant and communicate issues immediately. Coordinate with maintenance team, drivers, warehouse, and dispatch to schedule repairs. Follow up on open repair items until they are completed. Keep clear records of inspection results, repair status, and communication. Make sure equipment is not released for use if it is not safe or compliant. Communicate equipment availability and repair status to help avoid delays in loading, dispatch, and shipping schedules. Daily Operations Coordination Work closely with drivers, warehouse staff, dispatch, mechanics, and management. Confirm equipment readiness before daily operations. Prioritize urgent maintenance or compliance issues. Help coordinate shipment plans when equipment problems affect availability. Report recurring equipment problems or compliance risks to management. Support a safe, organized, and DOT-compliant trucking operation. Qualifications Previous experience in DOT compliance, FMCSA compliance, trucking safety, fleet maintenance coordination, or transportation operations is required. Experience preparing for DOT audits or safety audits is strongly preferred. Knowledge of driver qualification files, ELD / Hours of Service, DVIRs, annual inspections, maintenance records, and DOT requirements. CDL is preferred but not required. Spanish is a plus. Strong communication and follow-up skills. Strong attention to detail and recordkeeping ability. Must be comfortable working both in the office and in the yard. Must be able to communicate effectively with drivers, mechanics, warehouse staff, and management. Basic computer skills required. Experience with ELD systems, fleet management systems, or maintenance tracking systems is a plus. Work Schedule Full-time position Monday to Friday Day shift Occasional overtime may be required during audit preparation or urgent equipment issues. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is practical, organized, and experienced in trucking compliance. We are looking for someone who can handle paperwork, prepare for audits, inspect equipment in the yard, communicate with drivers and mechanics, and follow up until issues are resolved. This person should understand that trucking compliance and equipment readiness are both critical to keeping daily operations safe and on schedule.
