POSITION SUMMARY
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Warehouse Manager with managing, planning, and coordinating the activities of shipping, receiving and the stockrooms. This is a supervisor level position that has no direct reports and reports to the Warehouse Manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
: Manages, plans, and coordinates all Warehouse activities. Supervises and directs all assigned personnel, ensuring optimal performance. Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures. Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols. Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system. Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement. Maintains warehouse staff by orienting and training employees. Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Assumes responsibility for the maintenance and safety compliance of Warehouse facilities. Assumes responsibility for ensuring professional business relations with vendors, suppliers, shippers, and external contacts. Effectively supervises stockroom, shipping and receiving personnel, ensuring optimal performance. Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
4+ years of supervisory/management experience, including inventory management. 6+ years of total related experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Aviation parts/tooling inventory experience Additional related training or education
SUCCESS FACTORS/JOB COMPETENCIES
: Excellent understanding of inventory control and management procedures. Understanding of Company operations. Knowledge of industry processes and part-specific information. Knowledge of Practices specific to the industry and company. Excellent leadership abilities. Able to organize, coordinate, and direct team activities. Strong problem-solving skills. Good communications abilities. Able to use all related maintenance equipment and computer applications. Must be able to read, write and speak Standard English for routine business correspondence and for producing work products. Must be able to adhere to all established safety policies, processes, and procedures.
