Job Title:
Warehouse Lead Job Description The Warehouse Lead is responsible for supporting operations of the Distribution Center in the areas of receiving, stocking, fulfillment, and shipping. This role is also accountable for providing guidance and instruction to Distribution Center team members to achieve key results and exceed quality and safety standards, while adhering to the organization's values. Responsibilities Analyze incoming and outgoing orders to determine the most efficient and effective way to organize items for shipment or unload within the Distribution Center's Standard Operating Procedures. Operate forklifts and other equipment, including pallet jack, order picker, electric stand-up, sit-down, L.P., and reach truck. Operate RF scanners to perform essential warehouse tasks related to inventory management and distribution. Contribute to a culture of accountability, reporting, and inspection by communicating delivery or shipment failures, comparing equipment conditions to standards, and addressing discrepancies. Perform various administrative tasks, such as tracking/scheduling of shipment and providing proof of delivery as requested. Coach, develop, and motivate employees to be safe and efficient. Understand and enforce company policies, procedures, and systems within all areas of operation. Maintain all housekeeping standards set by the warehouse manager and the organization. Uphold an appropriate and legal level of confidentiality of information. Interact with peers and customers in a professional and respectful manner. Arrive to work on time with all required safety equipment. Provide additional support to team members as needed. Essential Skills Understanding of basic Microsoft Office and other job-related applications. Fluency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking, is preferred. Prior warehouse experience is preferred. High School diploma or GED, or 2+ years of warehouse experience preferred. Previous leadership and management experience is preferred. Ability to stoop, bend, and lift 50 lbs. Ability to work well under pressure in a team environment and effectively communicate with team members. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Prairie, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
