Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented On-Site Supervisor to lead and coordinate daily warehouse operations at our distribution facility. This role is vital in ensuring efficient inventory management, seamless logistics, and safe materials handling. As an On-Site Supervisor, you will oversee team activities, optimize warehouse processes, and uphold safety standards to support our commitment to excellence in distribution services. Responsibilities Supervise daily warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and materials handling to ensure smooth operations. Manage and motivate warehouse staff, providing guidance and support to foster a productive team environment. Oversee inventory management processes using warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 to maintain accurate stock levels. Coordinate logistics efforts with 3PL providers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery and shipment of goods. Implement process improvements to enhance workflow efficiency, safety protocols, and overall warehouse performance. Conduct regular safety inspections in compliance with OSHA standards; promote a culture of safety awareness among team members. Operate forklifts and other heavy machinery as needed for materials handling while adhering to safety guidelines. Monitor shipping & receiving activities, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to company policies. Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, audits, and shift reports for accountability and continuous improvement. Qualifications Proven experience in warehouse supervision or team management within a distribution or logistics environment. Strong knowledge of inventory management, warehouse distribution, and materials handling procedures. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), AS400, and logistics software such as OSHAsafety standards. Ability to operate forklifts and mechanical equipment safely; forklift certification preferred. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and process improvement initiatives. Mechanical aptitude with understanding of heavy lifting techniques and warehouse equipment maintenance. Effective communication skills to lead teams, coordinate with external partners, and ensure safety compliance.
