Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Warehouse Supervisor to lead our warehouse operations with enthusiasm and precision. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily distribution activities, manage inventory control, and ensure efficient logistics processes. Duties Supervise daily warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, materials handling, and order fulfillment to ensure smooth operations. Manage inventory levels using warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 to maintain accurate stock counts and facilitate inventory control. Lead and motivate a team of warehouse staff, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback to enhance productivity. Coordinate warehouse distribution efforts, ensuring timely dispatch and receipt of goods while adhering to safety protocols such as OSHA standards. Implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and streamline logistics workflows within the warehouse environment. Oversee forklift operations and mechanical equipment use, ensuring proper training and adherence to safety regulations for heavy lifting and materials handling. Collaborate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) for seamless shipping & receiving processes in an e-commerce setting. Requirements Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar warehouse management role with strong leadership skills. Extensive knowledge of inventory management, warehouse distribution, logistics, and materials handling procedures. Hands-on experience operating forklifts and mechanical equipment; certification preferred. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), AS400, and other relevant software platforms like OSHAsafety standards. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment maintenance is a plus. Excellent team management abilities with clear communication skills to foster a positive work environment.
