Warehouse Supervisor Job Description The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing warehouse employees to meet business objectives concerning safety, quality, productivity, and responsiveness. This role involves leading a team to ensure efficiency and compliance with organizational standards. Responsibilities Counsel and support hourly employees with their needs and concerns as required. Address performance behaviors by commending positive actions and discouraging negative ones. Utilize the Quality Network problem-solving process to address opportunities and engage the workforce for ideas. Apply Workplace Organization (WPO) processes to improve layouts and efficiency. Perform daily updates in the Timekeeping System (TKS) to ensure accurate payroll data processing. Use the A-3 reporting format to document problem-solving activities and adhere to local A-3 guidelines. Conduct daily meetings to communicate business performance and facilitate two-way discussions with employees. Perform and document weekly safety observation tours of departments. Plan daily workloads in advance. Support colleagues to optimize shift performance. Observe contractual requirements (National and Local). Enforce shop rules. Perform daily SOP audit checks. Advance skills through the Individual Development Plan (IDP) process. Keep the General Supervisor Shop Committee informed of all pending activities. Essential Skills Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures. Proficiency in basic math. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Understanding of basic technology relevant to the assigned area. Knowledge of scheduling and other management systems. High level of analytical ability for complex problem-solving. Effective interpersonal skills to work with and motivate employees. Knowledge of quality control procedures. Additional Skills & Qualifications High school graduate with at least 1-2 years of technical or business school training. Training in skilled trades area or equivalent technical training. Experience in direct supervision and management of employees. Ability to lead, motivate others, and perform progressive discipline. UAW experience is highly preferred but not required. Minimum of 2 years of experience up to 10 years. 49CFR training preferred but not required to start. Managerial courage and good interpersonal skills in a union environment. Agility and willingness to fill gaps as needed in logistics, warehouse management, inventory, and shipping. Why Work Here? Supervisors are expected to multitask, from coaching employee behaviors to maintaining a clean and safe environment and reporting team goals.

The position offers two shifts:

1st Shift from 4:00am to 12:00pm, with potential overtime of 2 hours daily and 8 hours on weekends, and 2nd Shift from 1:00pm to 9:30pm, with similar overtime potential. The typical day involves set general hours and shift meetings with the supervisor. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Roanoke, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $33.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
