Job Description

(In-Office, Mon-Fri, 9am-6pm)
Experience:
Not required. We hire for intelligence, drive, and resourcefulness—not a resume. About the
Role:
DCAcar is a premium transportation service, and we are looking for a sharp, fast-moving individual to keep our modern fleet and daily logistics running flawlessly. This is a "figure-it-out" role. You won't be stuck behind a desk all day; you'll be the critical bridge between our Herndon dispatch office and the real-world logistics of our luxury vehicles and chauffeurs. One hour you might be navigating DMV paperwork for a new vehicle or auditing EZ-Pass accounts; the next, you might be out in the field rushing a forgotten child seat to a driver, inspecting an SUV's detail job, or coordinating an emergency tow. Dispatch handles the clients; the drivers handle the road; you handle the vehicles and the physical logistics.
What You Will Do :
Fleet Lifecycle & Government Compliance:
Manage the onboarding of new vehicles. You will handle DMV paperwork for tags/titles, secure and renew commercial operating permits for major airports (DCA, IAD, BWI), and ensure all vehicles are properly insured and legally compliant.
Asset & Inventory Management:
Track and audit company EZ-Pass transponders, fuel cards, and toll violations. Ensure our premium amenities (bottled water, chargers, umbrellas) and specific child seats are fully stocked and properly assigned to the correct vehicles daily.
Fleet Logistics & Maintenance:
Own the preventative maintenance schedule (oil changes, detailings, inspections) and physically transport vehicles to and from local repair shops to minimize downtime.
Quality & Standards Control:
Conduct regular, meticulous physical inspections of our luxury fleet to ensure every vehicle meets our strict premium standards before hitting the road.
Incident Response & Daily Support:
Act as the physical boots-on-the-ground during a crisis. If a vehicle breaks down, you coordinate the tow and driver recovery. You will also troubleshoot driver tech issues, manage key handoffs, and handle lost-and-found logistics.
Ad-Hoc Problem Solving:
Tackle whatever unique logistical puzzles pop up in a fast-paced transportation company.
What We're Looking For:
A "Fast Processor": You catch on instantly. You don't need a 100-page manual; you need a target and the freedom to find the smartest way to hit it.
Problem-Solver DNA:
You don't just spot a problem—you find the solution and implement it before anyone even asks.
Mobility:
You have your own reliable vehicle and are completely comfortable driving around the Northern
VA/DC/MD
area for various field tasks. High Attention to
Detail:
You notice the small stuff—a smudge on a window, an expired insurance card in a glovebox, or a missing phone charger in an SUV.
Why This Is For You:
You want to see exactly how a high-end business operates from the inside. You're looking for a role where your brain is actually put to work and your hustle is recognized. No corporate red tape—just fast-paced, high-impact operations.
TO APPLY
Do not just send a generic resume. To prove you have read this posting and possess the problem-solving skills we need, please include a brief note (bullet points are fine) answering this real-world scenario. Send your resume and your answer to hr@dcacar.com : "It's 4:00 PM on a Friday. A driver calls you saying their SUV has a flat tire on the side of the highway. They were on their way to a VIP airport pickup at Dulles (IAD) in 45 minutes. Dispatch is already handling the client and sending a backup vehicle to do the actual pickup. Your job is to handle the broken-down vehicle, the stranded driver, and a specific toddler car seat that is currently stuck in the broken SUV but is needed for a different trip early tomorrow morning." - Walk us through your exact next steps to resolve the physical logistics of this situation .
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
