D (6PM-6AM) Job Summary Work as part of a team having responsibility for maintaining maximum throughput and up time for Distribution Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS). This position is expected to work in 12-hour shifts. This position requires a general understanding of warehouse management systems. Also, required is a general understanding of all distribution processes as related to Inbound, Outbound and Inventory Management requirements. This person must be capable of communicating with all levels of Manufacturing, Receiving, and Shipping Distribution, support at various levels of authority within the organization. The person should be able to operate under minimal supervision as well as be assertive, self-motivated and confident. The duties as assigned will prove to be detail oriented and involve in-depth investigative analytical skills requiring concise verbal and written communication proficiency. The person must be adaptable and flexible to changing priorities and assignments even though given short notice. General Duties The primary purpose of this position is: Position will report to Distribution leadership When not performing "tech" functions, the employee would fill in as shipping associate where needed. Monitor the ASRS cranes, analyze and resolve ASRS errors quickly, provide feedback to Operations Leads and Management on corrective actions that are necessary Investigate and resolve issues in pick-up and delivery stations to avoid pallet backlog Provide instruction and feedback to Distribution Operators pertaining to proper pallet induction (i.e., shrink wrap hanging, broken pallet boards, oversize, etc.) Trigger replenishments (re-prioritize) via PkMS to decrease product shortage for manufacturing and shipping Responsible for working within Safety Guidelines and policies to maintain a safe work environment Elevate all issues pertaining to crane performance to On-Site Maintenance Manager, D&T Manager and Supervisor Interact and instruct hourly distribution workforce as needed Work with PkMS SuperUsers to solve problems and troubleshoot issues with PkMS tasks The operator would split duties between being a Winchester DC Associate and Fault Chaser ▪ Help perform PM/housekeeping work within the LOTO area of the Highbay This position will provide coverage for the off-shift crane tech when they are on vacation and/or have any other scheduled or unscheduled absence Position will require the ability to work at heights and in a Lock Out Tag Out environment Candidate will need to be able to be LOTO and Fall Protection certified Assist ASRS Techs with repairs as needed Working Conditions Requires considerable use of arms and legs, twisting of body, standing for long periods of time, and regularly lifting to 50lbs - 100lbs. This position requires working in an environment with extreme temperatures and loud noises, and exposure to odors associated with melting plastics. Often requires operation of forklifts, hoists, or other industrial vehicles (ability to obtain various PIV licenses) Use of hand tools, required in most cases to assemble manufactured goods and may include hammers, screwdrivers, power tools, saws, crowbars, torches, grinders, or cutting blades. Ability to learn and work with
PKMS/SAP.
