00 per hour (Based on Experience) About the Role Modo 8 LLC is seeking a highly organized and dependable Shipping Coordinator to join our growing conveyor manufacturing team. This position is responsible for coordinating all outbound shipments, ensuring conveyor systems, assemblies, parts, and equipment are packaged, documented, and shipped accurately and on schedule. The Shipping Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting production, inventory, project management, and customers by maintaining efficient shipping operations and ensuring every shipment leaves our facility complete, compliant, and properly documented. Key Responsibilities Shipping Operations Prepare, package, label, and stage conveyor systems, assemblies, components, and replacement parts for shipment. Coordinate freight pickups and deliveries with carriers, brokers, and transportation providers. Generate and maintain Bills of Lading (BOLs), packing slips, shipping labels, and freight documentation. Verify shipment contents against work orders, packing lists, and project requirements. Ensure all outgoing shipments meet quality, packaging, and customer specifications. Schedule freight pickups and communicate shipment readiness with carriers and internal departments. Monitor shipment schedules and proactively communicate delays or concerns. Project & Production Support Review shipping requirements and shipment schedules for upcoming projects. Coordinate with Inventory, Procurement, Project Management, and Production departments to verify shipment readiness. Assist in organizing and staging project pallets, job boxes, electrical kits, miscellaneous components, supports, and layout drawings. Verify all required documentation is included prior to shipment. Maintain accurate shipment records and tracking information. Support expedited and emergency shipment requests when required. Warehouse & Shipping Area Organization Maintain organized shipping lanes, staging areas, and shipment documentation. Ensure completed projects are properly identified, labeled, and prepared for transport. Assist with loading trucks and verifying shipment accuracy. Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping environment. Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to improve shipping efficiency, organization, and accuracy. Participate in process improvement initiatives and departmental meetings. Support company goals related to safety, quality, customer satisfaction, and on-time delivery. Qualifications Required Minimum 1-2 years of shipping, logistics, warehouse, or manufacturing experience. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Basic computer proficiency and experience with ERP or inventory management systems. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks or willingness to become certified. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Preferred Experience in manufacturing or conveyor systems. Experience with freight scheduling and transportation coordination. Familiarity with Bills of Lading, freight documentation, and shipment tracking. Experience using ProShop or similar ERP systems.
