Unlike a large, rigid corporation, this smaller-company environment offers the chance to wear many hats and work cross-functionally with Sales, Purchasing, and Engineering. You won't just be a number here; you will be a key leader in a tight-knit team where your ideas are encouraged. Employees are well taken care of along with a strong benefits package. The duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate include the following: Directing shopfloor operations for a 20-person assembly team, ensuring labor is balanced and output targets are hit daily Managing the master shipping and delivery timeline to ensure high-priority orders reach clients on schedule Driving technical accuracy by auditing Bills of Material (BOMs), managing ERP data entry, and overseeing labor reporting Mentoring and developing a versatile workforce through structured cross-training, safety compliance, and performance coaching Serving as the primary onsite lead for equipment uptime and process improvements to eliminate production bottlenecks The background of the successful candidate must include the following: 5+ years of manufacturing supervisory experience (3-5 years minimum in a "take-charge" production leadership role) 1+ years of experience having shipping schedule responsibility to ensure jobs are shipped on time A take-charge, decisive personality with the ability to lead, delegate, and hold a team accountable Strong computer proficiency and prior experience using ERP systems for production and inventory The ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical schematics The ability to work first shift (starting at 6:00 am) for 40 to 45 hours per week A solid work history that is free of short-term jobs Being a US citizen or Green Card holder with a residence within a 45-minute drive of Brown Deer, WI
