Job Description

Summary:
Demonstrates a "People First" approach as the Shipping Production Support Coordinator at the Dickeyville Foundry. Coordinate under the direction of the Director of Operations to support the process for shipping finished product and other non-product materials. Understand the computer system well enough to assist with other shipping departments' needs and requirements.
Primary Responsibilities:
Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers while promoting a "People First" approach Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to support efficient HR and administrative operations Balance technical responsibilities with a service-oriented mindset to support co-workers and the organization Review the data contained within the computer system to identify what paperwork to print and process for the shipment of product or materials. Be able to provide training to others in this process. Obtain and maintain a basic understanding of freight industry terminology, requirements and common practices. Be capable of determining shipping workload requirements and be able to recommend changes to work assignments and crew scheduling based on those requirements. Assist with ensuring the accuracy and completeness of outgoing shipments. Effectively understand and utilize the computer system as well as additional software applications for professional and effective communication purposes. Understand and be able to educate others in the basic documentation required by common freight carriers and UPS. Be able to assist with processing miscellaneous inventory requests such as sales samples, engineering samples, miscellaneous issues of product or materials, etc. Process requests for call tags. Assist in dispatching freight carriers for all types of shipments. Be able to assist with purchase orders to replenish supply materials from outside vendors. Recommend process changes that may enhance the productivity of operations. Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
