This position is located at Athea-Cornell facility. This role supports the Shipping/Receiving Supervisor day-to-day coordination of shipping team members, daily tasks, and serving as a lead resource and providing operational support in the absence of the Shipping & Receiving Manager. This position is also responsible for supporting material handling activities, including using a forklift to load and unload materials from trucks, move bulk materials throughout the facility, and transport materials.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and process daily shipping activities, including printing and closing orders, preparing shipping paperwork, and ensuring all documentation is completed accurately. Determine and arrange appropriate shipping methods and carriers by communicating with carriers, obtaining shipping quotes, and utilizing customer-specific shipping portals and systems. Monitor customer account status, including credit holds, to ensure shipments are released appropriately and comply with company procedures. Manage logistics and transportation coordination between facilities, including overseeing inter-building truck requests, prioritizing shipment needs, coordinating with Faulkner on scheduling decisions, and preparing all required transportation documentation for drivers. Support Material Handlers by using a forklift to prepare, move, and stage orders for shipment and production needs. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Assist with additional shipping and logistics tasks as needed to support operationsQualifications & Skills:
2-3 years of forklift experience Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions Ability to accurately complete paperwork/documentation Basic computer proficiency Attention to detail with respect to correct labeling and paperwork Ability to use a calculator to do basic calculations and arithmetic using different units of measurement Peripheral vision and depth perception adequate to safely operate a forklift Must wear all required personal protective equipment GMP facility - any jewelry or piercings must be able to be removed or coveredCompany Information:
