We fabricate individual components, assemblies or complete products to meet our customer's unique specifications. We specialize in metal fabrication- using light- to medium-thickness metals. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Shipping Operations Supervise and coordinate daily activities of employees engaged in preparing and shipping finished goods. Oversee outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper packaging/condition. Verify and maintain records for all outbound shipments. Ensure materials are properly staged and prepared for shipment in alignment with customer requirements. Logistics & Transportation Management Review shipping documents including bills of lading, invoices, and shipping notices to determine priorities and routing. Determine most efficient and cost-effective shipping methods based on delivery requirements and customer expectations. Plan and coordinate shipment routing in accordance with state regulations and load restrictions. Determine space requirements and optimize loading configurations for trucks and shipments. Scheduling & Coordination Establish and manage shipping schedules to meet customer delivery timelines and OTD goals. Coordinate closely with Production, Scheduling, and Materials teams to ensure timely shipment of completed orders. Adjust priorities based on changing production demands and urgent customer needs. Leadership & Compliance Lead, coach, and develop the shipping team. Assign work, set priorities, and monitor performance to ensure efficiency and accuracy. Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement. Address performance issues and partner with HR on disciplinary actions when necessary. Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, safety standards, and company policies. Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation for internal tracking and customer requirements. Ensure all shipping paperwork is completed accurately and on time. Identify opportunities to improve shipping efficiency, reduce freight costs, and enhance service levels. Implement process improvements related to packaging, routing, and shipment consolidation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and eliminate bottlenecks.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment Minimum of 2+ years in shipping or logistics operations - preferred Previous leadership or supervisory experience required Strong knowledge of transportation, logistics, and shipping procedures Familiarity with bills of lading, freight terms, routing, and carrier management Experience with ERP/MRP systems and shipping software preferred Understanding of outbound material flow within a manufacturing environment

Pay:
$24.00 - $25.50 per hour
