POSITION SUMMARY
The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator ensures the accurate movement of materials into and out of the facility. This role is responsible for unloading incoming shipments, preparing outbound orders, maintaining inventory accuracy, and coordinating freight in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Material Handling & Inventory Unload incoming trucks and verify materials against packing documentation Receive and enter materials into the system accurately Distribute materials to proper stock or production locations Pull and stage material for work orders Assist with cycle counts and inventory control activities Shipping & Logistics Prepare, package, label, and band finished goods for shipment Create bills of lading and shipping documentation Schedule freight pickups and coordinate with carriers Load outbound shipments safely and securely Ship small packages using UPS and FedEx systems Documentation & System Accuracy Print and process shop orders Scan and send packing lists and certifications Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records Ensure traceability and proper documentation for all materials Team & Safety Follow all safety policies and PPE requirements Maintain a clean and organized work area Support production and cross-functional teams as needed Perform other duties based on business needs
QUALIFICATIONS
Required High school diploma or GED Forklift certification (or ability to obtain upon hire) Basic computer and data entry skills Ability to work independently and in a team environment Strong attention to detail and organization Preferred 1-3 years of shipping & receiving experience Experience in a manufacturing environment Experience with UPS/FedEx or similar shipping software 3+ years of forklift experience
PHYSICAL & WORK REQUIREMENTS
This role is active and requires frequent movement throughout the shift. Stand and walk for extended periods Frequent bending, reaching, and material handling Lift and carry: Up to 50 lbs regularly Up to 75 lbs occasionally (with assistance when required) Use of hands for gripping, grasping, and operating equipment Work near machinery, power tools, and moving equipment Exposure to a climate-controlled manufacturing environment Required PPE includes safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, and hearing protection Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
