You'll receive and unload container shipments, inspect incoming freight, move goods to designated storage areas, and prepare orders for final delivery — all while playing a vital role in getting essential supplies to rural Alaskan communities. What You'll Do Receive, unload, and inspect incoming freight for damage, shortages, and overages; report discrepancies to supervisors Off-load and secure pallets using pallet jacks, reach trucks, and forklifts Operate hand trucks, stock selectors, and standard safety equipment Pick, separate, and label grocery and general merchandise orders Prepare shipments in compliance with postal and airline regulations, including hazardous materials identification Keep warehouse areas organized, clean, and hazard-free Support ADC leadership with additional duties as needed What You Bring High school diploma or GED 1-3 months of warehouse or related experience (1 year preferred) Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures Basic computer skills: Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, inventory and order processing systems Willingness to learn receiving, unloading, distribution, and retrieval operations What We Offer Competitive pay Growth and advancement opportunities throughout the organization Benefits package A dynamic, inclusive, and diverse workplace About ACC For over 150 years, Alaska Commercial Company has been delivering groceries and general merchandise to the people of Alaska.
