Retail Warehouse Associate

Tongass Trading Company, the longest continually operating retail establishment in the state of Alaska is hiring for the 2026 summer season. The Tongass Trading Company is comprised of three souvenir stores that serve over a million tourists that visit beautiful Ketchikan, Alaska each year. Having prime locations right on the cruise ship docks or right across the street; our stores are CRAZY busy. Our warehouse team members are responsible for moving cases and stock from warehouse to warehouse and/or warehouse to store. They are responsible for ensuring the merchandise is accurately placed in the warehouses and accurately pulled for stores. Receiving, ticketing, folding, and boxing merchandise are also part of this position's responsibilities. Even though this position is primarily behind the scenes, all of our team members are trained to run our POS system and may be called in to help as cashiers when necessary. If you love to be on the move all day, love a physically active job, and can lift up to 50# repeatedly you may be the right candidate for this position. Must be 18+ years of age, and have a current Drivers License Skills that will help you be successful include: Being self-directed Highly organized Detail oriented Able to multi-task in a fast past environment The ability to switch tasks quickly while maintaining priorities in spite of interruptions A sense of urgency Strong work ethic Able to drive a box truck and cargo van
