Job Summary We are currently seeking a Finished Goods Warehouse Operator ! Qualified candidates will have a high level of integrity and the essential attributes to be a vital part of a winning team. We are looking for a highly motivated, dependable team member who wants to help Titan Coatings grow to record levels. As a Finished Goods Warehouse Operator , you will play a critical role on the Production and Logistics Team. You are the final link between Titan's manufacturing operation and the customer — the last person to touch the product before it leaves the building — and the accuracy, speed, and care you apply directly determine whether Titan delivers on its commitments. You will handle drums, totes, and pails of both solvent-based and water-based coatings, operate a forklift every shift, and prepare DOT hazmat shipments. Your internal customers are the Filling Department and Quality Control. This position reports to our Production Supervisor / Shipping Manager. Finished Goods Warehouse Operator:
Comply with all site rules, annual refresher training, and safe job procedures. Wear safety glasses at all times in the plant and warehouse — no exceptions. No cell phones on the factory floor or in the warehouse; leave them in the locker room.
Safe forklift operation:
speed limits, horn at blind corners, seatbelt, no passengers, and yield to pedestrians. Daily pre-shift forklift inspection; never run equipment that fails, and report deficiencies immediately. Observe load-capacity and stacking-height limits; operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and strapping tools safely. Follow all SDS and spill-response procedures; report spills, near-misses, and injuries immediately. Continuous housekeeping and 5S; keep travel lanes, exits, and safety equipment unobstructed. Support cycle and annual inventory counts; complete department paperwork and shipping logs. Report equipment failures to Maintenance; DOT hazmat training and applicable RCRA knowledge required. As the Finished Goods Warehouse Operator , the following responsibilities also apply: Receive sealed drums, totes, and pails from filling; verify labels, seals, and counts against the batch ticket before put-away. Transport finished goods to storage by forklift; stack pallets safely within approved heights. Update inventory in Datacor on put-away; support WMS barcode scanning as it is implemented. Segregate and clearly mark QC-hold, customer-hold, and rework product away from shippable goods. Pick orders per the shipping schedule and pick list; verify product, batch, quantity, and container type exactly. Stage orders by customer, carrier, and pickup time; inspect labels, seals, and container condition. Load trucks by forklift; confirm the carrier and truck match the order, and secure loads against shifting. Verify loaded quantity against the bill of lading and packing list; obtain the driver's signature. Prepare DOT hazmat paperwork and trailer placarding for solvent-based (Class 3 flammable) shipments. Maintain accurate inventory and FIFO rotation; store goods per NFPA flammable-liquid requirements. Complete shipping documentation accurately; enter and close shipments in Datacor promptly. Work with urgency for OTIF and flag any threat to on-time shipment; coordinate with filling, return promptly from breaks, pursue safety/efficiency/quality improvements, and perform all other duties as assigned. Job Qualifications 1+ years in a warehouse, shipping, or distribution role; paint, coatings, or chemical experience preferred. High school diploma or GED required. Current forklift certification, or ability to obtain it within 30 days of hire. Ability to read shipping documents, pick lists, and written procedures accurately. Basic math skills and the ability to use a computer or handheld device for ERP entry. Strong attention to detail under time pressure: products, batches, quantities, and labels. Knowledge of Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality regulations; team-player attitude. Able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs occasionally, and maneuver drums.
Preferred:
DOT Hazmat certification (49 CFR 172.704), WMS and Datacor experience, OSHA 10-Hour, bilingual (English/Spanish).
