  • Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler and Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team.
In this role, you will be responsible for operating various machinery, handling materials efficiently, and ensuring the production process runs smoothly and safely. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality standards. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to high-precision fabrication and manufacturing operations in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities Operate CNC laser cutting machines, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and other fabrication equipment with precision and adherence to safety protocols. Load, unload, and transport raw materials and finished products using forklifts, cranes, or hand tools. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly. Perform quality inspections utilizing calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances. Set up and adjust machinery such as press brake machines, stamping presses, plasma cutters, and electrical discharge machining (EDM) equipment for optimal performance. Maintain proper tooling and tooling changes for various machines to ensure consistent quality. Assist in fabrication processes including sheet metal work, welding, and assembly tasks. Conduct routine maintenance on equipment to minimize downtime and ensure safety compliance. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for machining, fabrication, and safety protocols. Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for efficiency enhancements. Requirements Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as laser cutters, milling machines, lathes, or plasma cutters in a manufacturing setting. Mechanical knowledge with familiarity of hand tools, tooling setups, and fabrication techniques. Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications. Skilled in using precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators. Experience with forklift operation and crane handling is preferred. Knowledge of welding processes and sheet metal fabrication is advantageous. Basic math skills necessary for measurements, calculations, and quality inspections. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including machining, assembly, tooling management, and quality control. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards. Commitment to producing high-quality work with attention to detail.
