Warehouse Worker / Forklift Operator Southern Root Alabama -
Dothan Location Pay Rate:
$15.00 to $16.00 hourly
Job Summary:
Southern Roots Nut Company is seeking a dependable and experienced Warehouse Worker/Forklift Operator to join our team. This position is responsible for loading and unloading trucks, moving materials throughout the warehouse and production facility, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring products are stored and shipped safely and efficiently.
Required Qualifications:
Current Forklift Certification (preferred but not necessary) Minimum 1 year of forklift operating experience (Required) Ability to safely operate sit-down and/or stand-up forklifts in a warehouse environment. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly. Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move raw materials and finished products. Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers. Receive, inspect, and store incoming shipments. Pick, stage, and prepare orders for shipment. Transport materials between warehouse and production areas. Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory records. Ensure products are stored properly and warehouse areas remain organized. Follow all company safety, food safety, and quality procedures. Perform other warehouse-related duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach throughout the workday. Ability to work in varying warehouse and production conditions.
