Job Description
Job Summary Join our vibrant marina team as a Marina Dockhand, where your energy and enthusiasm will help create a welcoming environment for boaters and visitors alike! In this dynamic role, you'll assist with the daily operations of the marina, ensuring boats are safely docked, maintained, and ready for their next adventure. Your mechanical aptitude and rigging skills will be essential in supporting boat handling, equipment maintenance, and safety procedures. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors in a lively maritime setting while developing valuable skills in marine operations. Duties Assist with docking, undocking, and mooring boats using rigging techniques and mechanical tools to ensure secure placement. Perform routine inspections of boats and marina equipment to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns. Support the safe operation of boat lifts, cranes, and other rigging gear by setting up and adjusting equipment as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the marina docks, slips, and surrounding areas to promote safety and efficiency. Help with basic mechanical repairs or adjustments on marina equipment under supervision. Provide excellent customer service by assisting boaters with directions, information, and support during their marina visit. Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure a secure environment for staff and visitors at all times. Skills Cleaning, organizing Boat washing/detailing Ability to operate basic mechanical tools safely and effectively. Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and assist customers confidently. Physical stamina to perform outdoor work that involves lifting, bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods. Attention to detail for inspecting marina facilities for cleanliness and functionlaity. A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills in marine operations. This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to gain hands-on experience in a lively maritime environment while contributing to the smooth operation of our marina facilities!
