  • Full-time Overview We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler/Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic logistics and distribution team.
This role is essential in ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and management of materials within the warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in warehouse operations, heavy equipment operation, and materials handling, contributing to the seamless flow of goods from receipt to shipment. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced setting where safety, precision, and teamwork are paramount. Duties Load and unload shipments using appropriate heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, and cranes, adhering strictly to OSHA safety standards. Operate warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners to accurately track inventory levels, order picking, and shipping/receiving activities. Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment with precision using pickers and other order picking tools. Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment by properly storing materials on pallets using pallet jacks and ensuring safe stacking practices. Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock replenishment to ensure accurate inventory records. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to coordinate the movement of heavy equipment for load & unload tasks and ensure compliance with safety protocols. Support shipping & receiving processes by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation. Operate heavy machinery such as forklifts, clamp trucks, and cranes safely during daily operations. Perform routine mechanical inspections on equipment to prevent malfunctions and ensure operational efficiency. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements for materials handling and warehouse management. Qualifications Proven experience in warehouse distribution, materials handling, or related roles within construction or industrial environments. Hands-on experience operating forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and inventory control procedures. Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations related to warehouse operations and heavy equipment use. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic maintenance checks on equipment. Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and repetitive tasks in a fast-paced setting. Prior experience in shipping & receiving processes is highly desirable. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a diverse environment.
