Job Description

The Company TRM Innovative Hearth Products is the buyout of several companies that have been merged throughout the years including but not limited to Fireplace Manufacturers Inc., (FMI), and Lennox Industries Hearth Division. The aggregate company included rollups of Marco; Superior Fireplace, which began in the 1930s; stove and insert companies including Country Stoves, established in 1977. FMI, a subsidiary of Desa, rolled up Design Dynamics in vented and vent-free logs in the early 2003 timeframe. Subsequently, the management team from the FMI segment of Desa acquired the assets of their division in 2008. On January of 2023 TRM Equity groups completely purchased IHP and created TRM Innovative Hearth Products.

AL Job Description:
The Material Handler1 is responsible for the safe utilization of staffing, equipment, and materials within the assigned area of responsibility. Our company is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Material Handler 1 to carry out various tasks in our busy warehouse. The Material Handler will work within a company's warehouse, moving, handling, and storing different materials. They track the stock within the warehouse, record orders and store the company's merchandise. Material Handlers 1 are regularly on their feet loading and unloading inventory, supplies, and other packages from various locations, like storage and production areas, delivery trucks and loading docks. The Material Handler 1 will work collaboratively with different customer & Managers. The ideal candidate will have some mechanical and construction experience, excellent communication skills and a high degree of mechanical aptitude. The successful applicant will be responsible for operating production line equipment, finishing products and reporting any issues with equipment directly to supervisors. The RV Material Handler 1 behavior that supports IHP values.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Certification in forklift operation or can pass a forklift certification. Knowledge of operating other warehouse machinery. Data entry, math and computer skills. Physically fit with the ability to lift objects weighing between 25-75 pounds. Effective leadership and team management skills. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Written and verbal communication skills. For Material Handlers in Shipping they are required to operate forklifts in a warehouse environment and to drive our yard truck to spot trailers.
Qualifications:
Strong work ethic and organizational skills. Able to multi-task in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Capable of lifting 50 pounds unassisted. Able to work on foot for extended periods of time. Critical thinking
Skills Must Have:
High school diploma/GED Preferred. 1-5 years of experience operating heavy equipment and working in a warehouse setting preferred.
Language Ability:
Position requires fluency in English. Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
