New Job Summary:
A Warehouse Technician is responsible for managing inventory, organizing, and maintaining the overall operations of a warehouse. Their role involves a combination of manual labor, administrative tasks, and ensuring that goods are received, stored, and shipped efficiently.
Duties/ Responsibilities:
Receive, store, and organize inventory. Track and update inventory records accurately in the system. Conduct regular stock audits and physical counts to ensure accuracy. Pick and pack orders for shipping. Ensure items are correctly labeled, packaged, and prepared for shipment. Ensure the warehouse and common area are clean, organized, and properly maintained. Optimize storage space for efficient operations and easy access to items. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely. Adhere to safety standards and guidelines within the warehouse. Ensure the proper handling and storage of hazardous materials when necessary. Report any safety issues or hazards to supervisors immediately. Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on warehouse equipment. Ensure all tools and machinery are in good working condition. Update inventory management systems with new stock, returns, and inventory adjustments. Assist with company events such as setting up and tearing down. Verify reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and discrepancies. Provide excellent customer service and support to internal departments or external clients when needed. Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Proven experience working in a warehouse environment or similar role. Basic knowledge of inventory management systems (e.g., fishbowl, Oracle). Ability to operate warehouse equipment like forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment. Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team. High school diploma or equivalent. A minimum of 2+ years of experience. Require standing, walking, bending, and climbing may be required throughout the shift. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
