Yard Associate

We are seeking outgoing, friendly, and helpful team members to welcome and assist customers, specifically with the yard duties of the store. You will fill propane tanks, load concrete, thread and cut pipe, and help with rescreening. We train all of these tasks on site; be willing to learn and do the work. Basic home improvement and repair knowledge is crucial for this position. The ideal candidate can assist customers with finding a replacement hose bibb, getting the right supplies for drywall repair, or picking out the right outlet for an electrical project. You must be able to lift heavy objects and be willing to work outside for this position. You will learn to operate and maintain a forklift properly. Essential Duties:

Fill propane, load concrete, thread and cut pipe, and rescreen windows and doors. Proactively assist customers in solving problems. Possess a friendly outgoing demeanor; work well with customers and staff. Possess strong product knowledge and knowledge of store layout and location of products. Assist with daily maintenance, and cleanliness of the sales floor, stock room and outdoor yard area. Be professional in appearance and actions.

You'll work directly with customers welcoming them and helping them find everything necessary to complete their project in one trip. Like working in a fast-paced and fun environment? We are high energy so time will fly. You'll be on your feet for most of your shift (6 to 8 hours). You must be able to lift 50lbs.
