Position Summary:
The primary responsibilities of General Labor position are split between the insulating and crating processes during the final assembly of Western Vents and Curbs product. Each task must be completed with safety, accuracy & timeliness in the insulating & crating area.Responsibilities:
- Accurately measure the interior dimensions the finished shell of the product
- Install insulation material, lifting lugs, foil tape, & applicable labels to Western Vents specifications
- Operate glue guns, drill, sprayer, and pin spotter to complete assigned tasks
- Review and clean welds and apply cold galvanizing spray paint to Western Vents specifications
- Accurately measure finished product to determine critical dimensions & weights
- Use of various power tools to cut lumber to correct measurements for crating
- Construction shipping crating through use of pneumatic nail guns and various power tools
- Prepare units for shipping
- Load completed product on freight trucks
- Effectively communicate with supervisors & other production staff to coordinate work schedules
- Other duties as assigned Requirements
- Ability to safety use various measuring tools & various other hand, power, & pneumatic tools.
- Ability to frequently bend, twist, grip, squat and lift
- Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently, & lift 70 pounds occasionally
