Job Description
The primary role of a UPS employee is to work with a high degree of accuracy while preparing UPS/FED-EX orders for shipping out daily via Process Weaver UPS/Fed-EX system. Work with
UPS/FED-EX
incoming shipments and inbound Freight shipments to palletize, sort, receive in with RF Gun and help stock on a daily basis. Shipping out Customer returns to vendors. Maintain and grow in knowledge concerning customer needs for custom palletization and labeling. Adhere to all customer requests according to established policies. Reports inventory discrepancies and shortages to supervisor, researches as needed to locate short product and maintain high fill rate. Completes all paperwork in an orderly fashion in accordance with established procedures. Builds and consolidates pallets of customer shipments on skids. Installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit. Loads customer shipments/ packages onto trucks. Prepares transfer orders for shipment on scheduled days releasing through Order Manager with external carriers, such as Hire truck, LTL freight lines, UPS or Fed-EX. Operates all warehouse equipment efficiently in a safe manner to avoid injury to personnel and equipment. Reports any mechanical issue(s) to supervisor upon discovery. Maintains equipment as assigned.. Develop relationships and excellent lines of communication with all internal key members. Other duties as assigned. High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous warehouse or distribution center experience preferred. Historically has displayed and maintains excellent attendance. Must have basic math skills. Must be able to perform all physical motions typical of an order picker including bending, reaching, stretching, walking, pushing carts, stand or walk for long periods for entire shift often over 8hrs/shift, and lifting as much as 60 lbs. (or more) push/pull carts weighing 100 lbs. or more repeatedly throughout the shift. With or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to handle stress in a fast-paced ever changing environment while maintaining a positive attitude. Forklift experience preferred. Must be willing to work overtime as needed. Successfully pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check and drug screening. This role is located in Mesa, AZ.
