This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in presentation, and values providing excellent customer service. You'll assist with in-store operations, rug handling, local deliveries and pickups , and customer home displays . This is a hands-on, active position that requires physical strength, care with fine textiles, and a collaborative mindset to contribute to the smooth daily operation of our business. Key Responsibilities Assist in the movement, rolling, and flipping of area rugs throughout the showroom. Use a rug pad cutting tool to prepare pads accurately and efficiently. Hang and display rugs on walls and racks with attention to detail and presentation. Maintain a clean, organized showroom by vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and cleaning windows. Pick up and deliver rugs to and from customers' homes and assist with in-home placement or displays. Provide excellent customer service during pickups/deliveries and in-store interactions. Help team members with various day-to-day operational needs to ensure a smooth workflow. Skills & Attributes Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship . Excellent teamwork and communication skills . Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions carefully. Ability to lift, move, and carry rugs and furniture safely (often up to 75 lbs). Basic math and critical thinking skills for measuring and problem-solving. A positive attitude and proactive approach to completing tasks efficiently. Basic Qualifications Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record. Ability to lift, load, and transport rugs and furniture as needed. Strong verbal communication for interacting with customers and coworkers. Prior retail or customer-facing experience preferred. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in a high-end retail , rug , or furniture store environment. Experience in delivery, moving, or logistics roles.
