Material Handler As an Associate Material Handler you will be responsible for assisting with the efficient movement, storage, and tracking of materials and products for a facility. Under direct supervision, performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, storing and distribution of materials, parts, supplies and equipment.

Assists in the receipt, inspection, and storage of materials, parts and products. Ensures that all materials are properly labeled, packaged, and stored in designated areas. (20%) Supports the inventory management process by counting and verifying materials, parts and products. Identifies and reports and discrepancies or damages. (20%) Assists with daily warehouse operations, including picking and packing materials, preparing shipments and maintaining a clean and organized work area. Posts weights and shipping charges and prepares goods for final shipment. Contacts carriers to pick up freight. Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped. (20%) Performs a variety of kitting and order functions. Recommends process improvements to reduce future discrepancies. Assists with cycle count inventory. (20%) Lifts heavy items and may operate a forklift. (20%) What You Bring Basic knowledge of inventory management principles and practices. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Physical ability to lift, push and pull materials and equipment.
