PM Fridays Description:
Production Material Handler needed for busy HVAC Manufacturer. We are seeking a responsible and detail-oriented Production Material Handler to join our manufacturing team. This individual will serve as the key point of contact between the assembly line and our Inventory Control and Material Planning teams, ensuring a seamless flow of materials to and from the production floor. If you thrive in a hands-on role that requires organization, communication, and problem-solving skills, we encourage you to apply! Key Responsibilities Replenish production lines with materials in line with production schedules and takt time. Stage, store, and organize materials per 5S and visual management standards. Complete material transactions in the ERP system, including issues, transfers, and returns. Perform cycle counts and verify quantities, part numbers, and lot/batch details. Coordinate with Inventory Control, Logistics, and Production to support uninterrupted operations. Communicate material status, shortages, and improvement opportunities to relevant teams. Respond to material shortages, line calls, and changeovers on time. Ensure
FIFO/FEFO
compliance where required. Skills Required Understanding of material flow, line-side replenishment, and production support processes. Ability to read and interpret work orders, BOMs, and production schedules. Strong attention to detail for accurate material verification and inventory control. Safe operation of material handling equipment and compliance with safety standards. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-based manufacturing environment. Effective time management to meet replenishment and production timelines. Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and move materials for extended periods. Education and Experience 1-3 years of experience in Manufacturing, Materials Handling, Logistics, or Warehouse Operations. CDL License Required Experience with Kanban Inventory Systems and Lean Manufacturing principles is preferred. Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems is a plus.
