Tucson, AZ Job Details Full-time $19 an hour 9 hours ago Qualifications Outdoor work Driver's License Power tools Hand tools Full Job Description SUMMARY The Maintenance Technician I will perform routine maintenance, inspecting, and repairing buildings, grounds, machinery, and equipment to ensure they function correctly and safely. Will conduct preventive maintenance, completing work orders, performing aesthetic upkeep like painting, and maintaining relevant documentation.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Performs general repairs and maintenance for all areas within the operation including but not limited to electrical, mechanical, and structural aspects of the buildings and grounds. Regularly inspect buildings, grounds, machinery, and equipment to identify malfunctions, safety concerns, and areas needing repair. Perform routine checks and maintenance on systems and equipment to prevent future breakdowns. Handle tasks such as painting, repairing flooring, and other general upkeep to keep facilities in good condition. Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment status. Work with other team members or external contractors to coordinate and complete maintenance tasks. Cleaning equipment and filters, changing filters and lightbulbs, painting and general facility cleaning. Handling assigned work orders and preventive maintenance (PM) tasks. Managing incoming work requests efficiently. Assisting with troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns. Interacting with team members within the maintenance department and other departments. Keeping work areas clean and organized. Cleaning and repairing circuit breaker panels. Performing manual repairs, such as fixing locks and replacing windows. Maintaining heating and plumbing systems for functionality. Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards. Repairing or replacing defective parts as necessary. Dry wall repairs Lite electrical repair lights (switches, receptacles, etc.) Additional duties as assigned Skills/ Abilities Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to apply basic mathematical skills. Must possess good verbal and written skills. Ability to manage a wide variety of activities at the same time. Effective written and verbal communication skills are necessary. Ability to work overtime when needed. Must be flexible to work holidays and weekends as needed.
Education/Experience:
High School or equivalent education. Three (3)-Six (6) months building maintenance experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience using hand electrical tools. Must be able to climb ladders up to 30 feet. Ability to read technical manuals and drawings. Valid driver's license. Must be able to pass a background check.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to physically reach, bend, stoop, kneel, and lift up to 100 pounds. Must be able to work under variable temperature conditions (extreme heat or cold, indoors/outdoors). Must be able to work around chemicals, dust, fumes and/or odor hazards. Regularly works in outdoor weather conditions and may face the risk of electrical shock or encounter fumes or airborne pathogens.
