The Warehouse Technician will also be responsible for documenting, labeling, condition reporting and problem solving while following company policies and best practices. This position reports directly to the Warehouse Department Manager with daily supervision by the Lead Warehouse Technician(s). Responsibilities Completion of warehouse onsite work orders daily with supervision Assist with the receiving and releasing of items as instructed Help with receiving unplanned deliveries following established company guidelines Packing and repacking artwork, Antiques, High-End Furniture and Objects as requested and under supervision Accurately complete paperwork and ensure that each item, package, crate and items are labeled accurately and appropriately and according to GW Processes Proper Storage and associated location documentation of items Generate accurate and descriptive condition reports and photo documentation when necessary. Report on building maintenance and warehouse equipment issues to Lead Warehouse Technician Immediately communicate concerns, issues and/or problems with condition reports (condition of items), packing/crating orders, schedules, deadlines, etc. with Supervisor Maintain confidentiality of clients' personal property and privacy Experience Proven warehouse experience with a focus on inventory management and materials handling in a fast-paced environment. Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations and equipment use. Prior experience in art handling or working within manufacturing or construction environments is a plus. Strong mechanical knowledge related to Artwork, Antiques and Furniture packaging techniques Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during stock stocking, order picking & packing, and shipping & receiving tasks.
