Full Job Description SUMMARY:
This position is primarily responsible for performing one or more of the following warehouse functions: receiving, storing, filling, replenishing, assembling, verifying and processing orders of audio/video cables and related music accessories for shipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Filling Orders:
Reads shipping order to determine items to be gathered and moved. Accurately picks, pulls, assembles, and conveys items from designated warehouse locations to packing station using a cart, step ladder and forklift equipment. Verifies orders by visually examining product, comparing model numbers, counting, and accurately entering product codes and quantities into inventory system. Selects and/or assembles cardboard containers and packs items. Determines method of shipment and generates and affixes shipping labels in accordance with established guidelines and procedures. May palletize, shrink wrap, weigh, and transport product using forklift equipment, depending on station assignment.
Carding Department:
Assembles and packages items and kits. May use heat gun, heat press, and sealing machine to affix packaging.
Receiving Inbounds:
Receives, sorts, and counts incoming product and verifies against packing slip. Transports product, using forklift equipment, to designated storage location in the warehouse. Uses computer to enter information, ensuring accuracy of inventory records. Rearranges stock in accordance with established procedures. May shrink wrap boxes of product on to pallets.
Movements/Stock Replenishment:
Reads movement receipt to determine items to be gathered and moved within the main storage locations or to Quick Pick area. Verifies product/item codes and pulls and counts out quantities listed from main storage racks. Warehouse Worker Job Description, revised 1.1.18 Page 1 Verifies and records item numbers and quantities on movement receipt. Moves cases of product to new destinations using forklift equipment. Opens, sorts, and places items on shelves in the proper Quick Pick location. Updates inventory system.
Other duties include:
Loads and unloads containers by hand or using forklift equipment. Restocks area with shipping materials and supplies or product. Prepares cardboard boxes for recycling by cutting them down and flattening them. Collects and disposes of trash and maintains clean and orderly work environment. Performs other duties and special projects, as required.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
No minimum education level is required. No prior experience or training is required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one‐on‐one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
COMPUTER SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of: Database Software and/or Inventory Software.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is also frequently required to stand and walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must frequently lift and /or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
