Job Description The Material Handler supports a GMP manufacturing environment by accurately kitting materials for console builds, managing inventory transactions in the system, and ensuring that physical stock matches system records. This role works closely with production to deliver the right materials at the right time, maintains organized inventory areas, and contributes to efficient and compliant operations. Responsibilities Kit materials required to build consoles, ensuring each kit contains accurate quantities and correct components. Roll out kits for different assemblies and deliver them to the appropriate production areas in a timely manner. Pull materials from bins, place them on carts, and transport them safely to the production floor. Perform inventory transactions in the system, including fishbowl transactions, to maintain accurate stock records. Conduct regular cycle counts to verify inventory levels and identify discrepancies. Check stock levels on the production floor and in storage areas, replenishing materials as needed. Match physical inventory to system records and investigate and resolve any variances. Follow GMP procedures and inventory control processes to maintain compliance and product quality. Collaborate with production and supply chain teams to support smooth manufacturing operations. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with GMP standards. Essential Skills 2-4 years of previous stock or inventory experience, preferably in biotech or manufacturing, but open to other industries. Demonstrated understanding of supply chain and inventory management principles. Experience in a manufacturing environment. Material handling experience, including order pulling and inventory control. Proficiency with computer systems, including Excel, ERP systems, and Outlook. Work Environment This role operates in a GMP manufacturing environment where cleanliness, organization, and adherence to procedures are essential. The position follows a first-shift schedule, typically from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. You will work around production equipment and inventory storage areas, using tools such as forklifts, carts, and computer systems including ERP and inventory software. The environment emphasizes safety, compliance, and efficiency, with structured processes and clear expectations for documentation and inventory accuracy. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carlsbad, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
